Fellowship-trained reconstructive urology and men’s health specialist Paul H. Chung, MD, FACS, is a charismatic hands-on physician serving patients in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Chung offers a wide range of care for erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease, stress urinary incontinence, urethral stricture disease, buried penis, and genitourinary reconstruction.
Dr. Chung uses a wide range of the most advanced equipment and procedures to perform the medical treatments and minimally invasive surgeries his patients need to achieve optimal wellness. He wants patients to have the best experience while under his care, and to that end, he takes the time to understand each patient’s needs and goals and always strives to be accessible.
Dr. Chung earned his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering at Northwestern University’s McCormick School of Engineering in Evanston, Illinois. He then earned his medical degree at Thomas Jefferson University’s Sidney Kimmel Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Chung completed a research fellowship in the National Institutes of Health’s Clinical Research Training Program in Bethesda, Maryland.
He then completed his general surgery internship and urology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas where he developed his foundation in reconstructive and prosthetic urology under the mentorship of Dr. Allen Morey. Dr. Chung also completed a clinical fellowship and developed advanced training in genitourinary reconstruction, prosthetics, and trauma at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, Washington with Dr. Hunter Wessells.
Currently, Dr. Chung is the Director of the Division of Reconstructive Urology and an Associate Professor of Urology at Thomas Jefferson University’s, Sidney Kimmel Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has published over 150 abstracts and manuscripts in a number of peer-reviewed journals.
He’s an active member of the American Urological Association, American College of Surgeons, Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons, Société Internationale d'Urologie, Society of Urologic Prosthetic Surgeons, International Society for Sexual Medicine, and Sexual Medicine Society of North America.
He is one of the few prosthetic surgeons to be selected as a Center of Excellence for both the AMS 700 and the Coloplast Titan penile implants.
